“It’s a Major Failure on the forklift truck, don’t know how it happened, we’ve got a lorry coming in tomorrow and it’s stuck in the way.  -  Help”!

There are two possible answers:
“We have the forklift truck parts on order and we’ll be back as soon as they’re in”
or
“We have the forklift truck parts on order, we can hire you a replacement truck which can be here this afternoon and we will carry out the repairs off site and out of your way”

With major repairs it can often mean that the forklift truck needs a steam clean, and then a number of components will need to be removed to carry out the repair. You may not have a suitable area to blast all of the grease and dirt off of the forklift truck without covering the bosses Jaguar, it may be that any oil or mess dropped on the floor would be a concern, or it may just be that the forklift truck in bits may be too much of a nuisance. For all of these reasons and many more it is sometimes more practical for us to pick the forklift truck up and bring it back when it is repaired.
