The new 48V electric Centauro 160-200L AC range, with capacity from 1650 to 2000 kg, combines the maneuverability typical of a truck with battery above the rear axle (shorter total length) with the advantages of AC technology. Two independent high power front wheel traction AC motors form an electronic differential which allows it to work in the tightest spaces, with frequent lifting, even to very high levels.
AC Technology ensures quick direction changes, smooth acceleration and outstanding efficiency. The low power consumption and the capability for using high-capacity batteries give the machine exceptional autonomy of operation. Lifting is powerful and progressive thanks to the asynchronous lift motors.
The operator has a choice of different driving modes, selected by just pressing the buttons on the steering column. Three options available, from the most high-performance to the most economical. For multi-shift applications using more than one battery, the battery can quickly be removed from the side, permitting continuous, multi-shift duty without having to wait for the battery to charge. The raised driving position provided by the batteries' position and size, guarantees the operator an excellent view both of the load and of the spaces around him, increasing safety during maneuvers.
The new-concept rear axle makes high steering angles possible; It is mounted on silent blocks for improved driving ergonomics and quieter operations. The masts provide excellent visibility and stability, with widely-spaced profiles designed for exceptional visibility, guarantee rigidity and stability at the maximum height.
